Classical Civilisation Teachers Day

The Department of Classics and Ancient History at the University of Warwick are pleased to invite you to their FREE Classical Civilisation A-level Teachers Day on Monday 1st July 2019. The event will include academic sessions led by Warwick staff as well as a session led by Alex Orgee, subject leader of classics at OCR. Travel bursaries are available, courtesy of The Classical Association.

10.00 -11.00am Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey – Dr David Fearn
11.15-12.15am Virgil’s Aeneid – Dr Victoria Rimmel
(including 11.00-11.15am Break)
12.15-1.00pm OCR and Breakout sessions
12.15-1.00pm OCR – Alex Orgee, subject leader for classics at OCR, will be here to talk about the OCR curriculum and to answer any questions.
VR headsets; Replica Greek vases; Coin handling sessions will also be available now (and throughout the day) for those interested.
1pm-2pm FREE Lunch
2.00-3.30pm Part Two: Culture and the Arts
