Greek Drama Day at KCL
June 23 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm
The KCL Greek Play team are delighted to offer an exciting day of discussion and workshops on the subject of Greek drama.
At the Greek Drama Day, some of the big issues facing those studying and staging these ancient texts will be explored, including how to make them accessible to contemporary audiences and just what to do with the chorus.
Professor Stephe Harrop, Professor Daniel Orrells and Dr David Bullen will start the day with three talks followed by a discussion on Greek drama and its performance.
Students will then participate in an interactive workshop exploring how to stage Greek drama led by Dr David Bullen. In addition to being an academic specialising in Greek drama and its modern performance, David is a theatre director, writer and dramaturg who was previously Executive Director of the King’s Greek Play.
This event is aimed at school groups (A-level) who have an interest in ancient drama.
Participants are asked to bring their own lunch.
The Greek Play team hope you can join them.
If you are interested in bringing your school, please contact Angelica at email@example.com.
